This policy explains how DreamCoat Films collects and uses personal information when you visit our website or contact us, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

DreamCoat Films Ltd, company number 07160776, registered office 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London, United Kingdom, WC1X 0ND ("we", "us"), is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info(@)dreamcoatproductions.com.

2. Information we collect

  • When you contact us. Your name, email address and anything you include in your message.

  • When you use our website. Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site. Analytics information is only collected with your consent; see our Cookie Policy.

  • If you sign up for updates. Your email address and your preferences.

We do not knowingly collect special category data through the website, and we ask you not to send it to us by email.

3. How we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and manage our relationship with you: our legitimate interests in running our business.

  • To keep the website secure and working properly: our legitimate interests.

  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations: legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, under contracts that require them to protect it, including:

  • Squarespace, which hosts this website and provides site analytics.

  • Google Workspace, which we use for email.

  • Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to two years after our last contact, unless we have an ongoing working relationship or need to keep them for legal reasons. Analytics data is kept in line with Squarespace’s retention settings.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask us to correct or delete it;

  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;

  • ask for a copy in a portable format;

  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
